What can we offer your school or organisation?
Sessions
Who
Groups of up to 8 primary age children with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Therapeutic Forest School is particularly suitable for supporting children in sensory processing, attachment and trauma, language and social development, anxiety and school avoidance.
What
Following discussions with your school or organisation, Sophie and Catherine will plan activities tailored to meet the particular needs and interests of your children.
When
Our bespoke Therapeutic Forest Schools sessions are typically 2 hours in duration and can be scheduled for AM and PM within school hours.
We will be on site before and after sessions to set up activities and to enable us to leave your site as we found it.
Where
Sessions are held within your school or organisation’s grounds to avoid transport costs, to reduce disruption to children’s school day and to provide the reassurance of a familiar location.
We offer sessions to schools, organisations and alternative provision providers within Norfolk, UK.
Good to know
Before starting
We will conduct site risk assessments and hold an introductory meeting to enable us to meet the children’s needs.
All parties will sign a service level agreement and code of conduct.
Groupings
Sessions are for up to 8 children. It will be for individual schools and organisations to decide how many they wish to attend. This will depend on the needs of the children and on the dynamics of the group.
The greatest benefit comes from limiting these to a single Key Stage, but this can be flexible depending on the requirements of your children.
Costs
Costs include all resources, a snack and a drink for the children, planning, risk assessments and an end of term report.
Schools will be invoiced for all sessions, per group per half term, to be paid prior to sessions commencing.
From £220 per session.
Whatever the weather!
We embrace all weathers and all temperatures. Sessions can be held throughout the year, with only two exceptions. In situations where there are lightning storms or very high or gusty winds we will coordinate with you to find a suitable inside space for us to run our sessions.
To keep safe and comfortable we have a recommended kit list which can be downloaded below.
